2nd Grade STarts!!

Same school- Webb Elementary- its a comforting thing to be able to start a new school year at the SAME school as last year. This is the first time its happened for Christian. He felt so at ease...this is all old hat by now. He started 2nd grade this morning. His teacher, Mrs. Rodriguez, seems like a very warm, loving teacher. She is the 2nd grade team leader, so I think she is going to be on top of everything. Christian didn't look a bit scared. Maybe a tid bit shy...but mostly because of the ear situation. I am PRAYING the kids at school are kind to him. Its pretty inconspicuous....but kids can be brutal. Christian got a blessing last night from Daddy so I have faith its going to be a great year.

Shane is going to miss his "broba"...but hopefully we can keep him busy. He is doing GREAT on the potty front. I would say he is done...well, except for this morning of excitement. He reverted back to peeing in the pull-up. But I am hoping its because we were really busy and not reminding him. Otherwise, we are excited for his big boy progression.

Christian is a HOTTIE! I'm lovin' the shoes!! How is the ear healing? Did you have to inform his teacher of the surgery and the hearing loss?

Looks like he is off to a great start! It is so nice when the kids get to go back to the same school! It really makes a diffence in their confidence level! Christian in school and Shane using the potty~ you have moved on to the next realm of motherhood!

Christian is so grown-up. He looks like he's going into high school, not second grade :). That's great about Shane's potty training. I am SLOWLY learning that potty training is a SLOW process. We'll throw a party when Stella finally figures it out!

Are you missing having Christian at home to entertain Shane yet? Or is it nice to just have one at the house? Christian is such a cutie. :) What a stud.

That is so sweet that Gavin gave Christian a blessing before he started school. What a good tradition. I hope he has a wonderful year!!

Christian, you look excited to start school! Have a great year at school.
Second grade is a good year.

Shane you are getting to be a big boy also. You can go to pick up Christian at school and you can have some special time with MOM! You can have her all to yourself.

Love,
