So limited I might starve!

HELP!! There is an underlying story, see below, that describes the reasoning for this DIET limitation I have to try. Long story, very short...its for the baby!
But I am in DIRE need of my blogging friends' help. As of Friday I have to follow these dietary restrictions:
NO dairy
NO soy
NO eggs
NO nuts
NO wheat
NO fish
NO citrus (including tomatoes)
This means any of those or any food that has them as an ingredient or derivative.

SO...my question is....what in the world CAN I eat? I know I have friends with health limitations that have experienced things like this....so please send me some suggestions.

Shawna, you should try this diet. A couple friends of mine did this diet lost baby weight and then those who haven't had babies lost weight. It's a cleanse too and a limited diet but at least you get to eat. I will let you read more about it.

Steak and salad with no dressing? That is a very limited diet! Hope all is well.

I really hope this is a try it to see if it works thing and pretty soon you'll be out of this phase? Cause if it lasted, I'd probably just go to a bottle. Chicken sandwiches on white bread?

I don't know how people do it! I "tried" the no lacto thing for a week or so with baby #4. It was so hard. I know people get used to it and the menu gets easier. I had a Visiting Teacher drop me off taco/bean mixture with no milk torillas. Also, for my birthday, she brought me a CASE of costco Oreo's. Those are safe- don't oreos make everything better? ;)

ps- I didn't see a big enough change. And by baby #4, I still had a 2 year old and 3 year old and Tanner. I just formula fed sooner than I would have chosen, but you do what you gotta do.

You can have lots of meat.... potatoes in any shape or form.

You can have polynesian fruit....
Steak, roast, all sound pretty good.

I have some recipes if I look hard enough that have crusts for pies made with rice and powdered sugar. The rice is ground up and is like a powder.

Lots of melons, watermelons.
Soups made with barley, and other grains that you can eat.

Corn bread with no white or wheat flour. NO milk products... that is hard.

You can thicken things with arrow root or cornstarch.

Bacon and lettuce sandwiches literally with no bread.

So is this to help lose the weight faster, or do they think something in your diet is negatively effecting him? Whatever it is, I wish you the best of luck. Sounds like Chicken and salads are going to be your best friend.

I thought I'd read all your posts, so nevermind on why you're doing it. It's so hard to nurse babies and know if they're getting enough, if it's you or them that's the reason they are fussy, and just having it all work out. It's so good for them, but so much work.

no dairy is soooooo hard b/c it's in EVERYTHING. you'll be shocked at what you see it in! roasted veggies are super good. I did a lot of tostadas and tacos with corn tortillas-you can just make salsa without the tomatoes. cilantro is the best part of salsa anyway :)avocados, olives, lettuce, onions, chicken or beef. lots of salads-lettuce and strawberries with chicken is pretty good. balsamic vinegar is good on strawberries too (I know, weird, right?). good luck-this is where you become really good at improvising!
