"You come to love not by finding the perfect person, but by seeing an imperfect person perfectly. "
~ Sam Keen
I am convinced that's why Gav loves me....because he made me his Mahana...by loving me so perfectly. Knowing I would need this on day #7 mothering alone.
Ahhh... what a good man Gav is. I LOVE the guys we chose to marry. They're so wonderful. :) Hope the interviews are going well! (Although not TOO well, because then you'll be tempted to pick NY over Galveston!) :) Love you guys!!! P.S. I'm thoroughly impressed that you got up at 3 AM to hit the stores. I gave up shopping on Black Friday a while ago. But I'm sure it would be a lot more fun with friends. :)
OMG!!! Those roses are almost as beautiful as you are. You've got Mahana beat by at least three cows...He's a keeper. Make sure you do, each day, what you need to to keep him.
Dear daughter: You have a super kind husband. He is sensitive to your needs which helps you to be a good couple. When he meets your needs you can meet his needs. In marriages where the husband treats his wife like his partner; sharing all that he earns helps his wife feel important and needed. Johnny Lingo is a true movie about the thought I am talking about. Kindness is something we learn when we are in Kindergarten and Primary; but seems to be the hardest character trait for some people to do. Elder Joseph Worthlin, President Monson, and many others have talked about kindness and saying kind words is going to make life better. Also being faithful and moral is a basic foundation of marriage. Gavin is an excellent example of this. I have that same thought you posted on this blog in my journal. I love Ed because he excepts me and I except and love him for who we are. We become better than we are supporting each other in change. Neither one of us is perfect, but we love each other so very much. I really think that John speaking of love in the three books of John in the New Testament is the most important ingredient for life. Also withholding judgment as spoken by Moroni in the last book in the Book of Mormon; to make righteous judgments is a hard thing to do. The older I get the more I realize that judgments made in error can cause great friction in relationships.
That's very thoughtful of him. So how many of the interviews are in NY as opposed to everywhere else? It has to be fun to travel and see so much and make more and more friends along the way.
